School starts in a week and I am thankful that this summer is finally coming to end. It has been a memorable summer with many ups and downs. Here is some of the things that happened this summer.
I meet on of my 2015 goals and got my Substitute Teaching License renewed. I am going back to work this fall as a Substitute Teacher with Kelly Services for the charter school in the Vegas Valley.
My oldest son is an still staying in high school for another semester to take classes to ensure he passes his HSPE’s exams. He still needs to pass the Math and Writing Exams and is almost there.
Our younger son is now in middle school which is still so hard to believe. He is going into his 5th year at Nevada Virtual Academy. This school as been such a blessing to our family.
My Ministry right now is at home with a focus on my family. I am doing a webinar series on spiritual growth. I am finishing up the last couple of webinars this month before school starts.
This summer I have had a lot of down time. We are still in transition and have not found a new house yet but we are hopeful that we will be settled again in the near future.
I have spent most of my summer writing, reminiscing the past, and trying to find myself in the mist of the lack of busyness. I have had way too much time on my hands to think instead of do and that is hard coming from someone who has been busy the last seven years with school and schooling my boys. Thankfully that is coming to end.
So as Fall begins, I am looking forward and am hopeful. I am looking forward to teaching again. I am also still waiting patiently on God to lead me in the next steps of the journey.
May God Bless you and your family and may your school year be great!
